(NOTE:I think I can put this one to bed; 'As an Egyptian deity, Thoth performed a number of functions. He was a moon god, symbolised by the cusped or horned moon, & silver was sacred to him.
' - Baigent & Leigh, 'The Elixir & The Stone' (1997).

'Seth, the reputed forefather of Israel, is only a Jewish travesty of Hermes, the God of Wisdom, called also Thoth, Tat, Seth, Set, & Satan.' - Madame Blavatsky 'The Secret Doctrine' (1888).

Meanwhile in the world of the inanimate, there's been a marked decrease of colour in our lives, or is it a case of an increase in shade? They say silence is golden but speech is silver tongued, at least that's what they say, & in my place of origin in England, UK, legislators have deemed it fit to set it in stone that private hire taxi cabs now have to be of a more silvery shade of pale;

This is no coincidence either, as older buildings are torn down, more refined blocks of ice spring up in their place;

I can find no concrete correlations within the writings of the Mystery Schools for this latest phenomenon as yet, only fleeting glimpses such as this from Manly Hall;
'Poseidon's (Zeus) own temple, its exterior entirely covered with silver & its pinnacles with gold, also stood within the citadel (of Atlantis). The interior of the temple was of ivory, gold, silver, & orichalch, even to the pillars & floor. The temple contained a colossal statue of Poseidon standing in a chariot drawn by six winged horses' .

& yet more pagan curiosities from north of the border, these (not the Isis statue) are located in my wife's hometown of Alloa, what on earth could they represent?

'HO-HI

A cabalistic pronunciation of the tetragrammaton, or ineffable name of God; it is most probably the true one; as it literally means He-She, it is supposed to denote the hermaphroditic essence of Jehovah - as containing within himself the male & female principle - the generative & prolific energy of creation…….
In the Cabala, a hidden meaning in a word is often deduced by transposing or reversing it's letters, & it was in this way that the Cabalists concealed many of their mysteries.'
- Albert G Mackey.

Perhaps what's being represented here is Quicksilver.....Mercury.......Hermes.......Thoth? Or maybe it's Isis in her guise as the silvery moon? On the other hand it could all be the work of Larry Silverstein, you never know!
(Actually it IS Hermes)

Here are more images on the same theme;

Above is the 'Diana Fountain Memorial' in London, it's changed now but then the symbolism was obvious, a 'G', an Apple (i.e. Eve), the point in the circle etc…….Right next to the Diana (Isis) Memorial is the statue 'Isis' (left), looking distinctly like an Ibis.

'I have bought a pocket Milton, which I carry perpetually about with me in order to study the sentiments, the dauntless magnanimity, the intrepid unyielding independence, the desperate daring, & noble defiance of hardship, in that great personage Satan'....wrote Scotlands national poet Robert Burns. Amongst his many works is a poem entitled, 'Address to the De'il' (Devil), where he describes some various guises familiar to the people of Scotland at the time under which Satan manifests him/herself on the earth. One such manifestation is the aforementioned 'Kelpies';

Burns was a Freemason, so when this man says Satan is invoked by the Masons 'word & grip', he can be taken as an authority;

'Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:'
- God (KJV).

'When thowes dissolve the snawy hoord.
& float the jinglin icy boord,
Then, water-kelpies haunt the foord,
By your direction,
An' nighted trav'llers are allur'd
To their destruction.

& aft your moss-traversing spunkies
Decoy the wight that late an' drunk is:
The bleezin, curst, mischievous monkies
Delude his eyes,
Till in some miry slough he sunk is,
Ne'er mair to rise.

When Masons' mystic word & grip
In storms an' tempests raise you up,
Some cock or cat your rage maun stop,
Or, strange to tell!
The youngest brother ye wad whip
Aff straught to hell.'
